That's basically the same price as Winchester White Box at Walmart. Most of us have to pay sales tax at the store but not shipping chrages. Does Century include shipping in their price? RENEA 08-13-2005, 09:30 Orders over $75 I think they charge a flat $12 shipping rate no matter what the weight. Any orders over $500 shipping is free. I'd like to try some of this ammo just for grins but don't wanna have to buy 2,000 rds of it. It may be repacked Egyptian junk. TED 08-14-2005, 04:06 I can buy Winchester white box for just a touch more than that and it is already here, no shipping, so the winchester actually comes out to be the same. I do not know if the UAE stuff is any good or not and I am not saying that it is not good, but financially there is no reason to buy it. TED Merkavaboy 08-14-2005, 12:26 I emailed Mr.Kallergis about this ammo and this is his response: It really is manufactured in and by the UAE, the plant was set up by a us manufacturer. At this time it is only available in full cases. Andy Andrew Kallergis CENTURY INTERNATIONAL ARMS 403 SOUTH CONGRESS AVE. RENEA 08-18-2005, 16:49 Century is selling it in individual 50 rd boxes now. My neighbor and I split a 600 rd order. Will post range results & shooting impressions. Merkavaboy 09-16-2005, 18:06 I shot up 100 rounds of this ammo, and it's pretty hot! Subjective opinion is that it's just about as hot as the Hirtenberger L7A1 loads that I shot last time I was at the range. Function was 100%, accurate (out of my "Combat Tupperware" G-19) and no signs at all of any over-pressure problems (unlike the HP L7A1 stuff that I've noticed just slight primer flow-back, which isn't a concern for me). If you're looking for some inexpensive, hot, 9mm FMJ ammo, this would be a good choice. I'm split on whether I want to get a case of the Hirtenberger L7A1 or this new UAE stuff; I can get the HP stuff a little cheaper than the UAE loads. NOTE: No, I don't have a chrono, so I can't tell you exactly how fast this stuff is. RENEA 09-16-2005, 21:09 I shot 50 rds thru my USP 9F and I didn't notice if it was that hot. Very accurate though! Merkavaboy 09-18-2005, 10:21 RENEA, Well, I guess felt recoil is really subjective in nature, but I certainly felt that it shot much hotter than any other standard 124FMJ ball ammo I've shot in the past (including WCC NATO stuff). But it sure is good ammo, and I like it! I started doing a little research on ADCOM of the U.A.E. and this 9mm ammo. My boxes were all 1999 production: Was your ammo the same production year? My boxes were all 1999 production: Was your ammo the same production year? half were 1998 and the rest all 2001. I got one box with NWM headstamps. IIRC that is Dutch?^8 Rumor is this ammo was for a large Dutch military contract that got nixed. Merkavaboy 09-18-2005, 12:53 NWM??? Wow! Mighty strange! When you got the NWM headstamped ammo, was that from a small purchase or did you actually buy a case of the ammo and got that NWM stuff mixed in with the case? I guess I'll have to contact Century Int'l and see if there's any other dated ADCOM ammo available. Thanks for the info RENEA. Please let me know if you find out any more interesting facts & tid-bits about this ammo. RENEA 09-18-2005, 14:50 Originally posted by Merkavaboy NWM??? Wow! Mighty strange! Weird that it was in there:cool: Andy W 02-04-2007, 17:29 I got the same stuff at a gun show today for $8.00 a box; it was something different so I got it to try out. vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
