Need 'Timesheet keeping' software

either freeware or very inexpensive.

I've downloaded a couple of freeware apps and am finding they are more trouble to set up that I had expected. My sister needs me to 'track my time' regarding the stuff I do for my Dad - which can range from working on his medical record organization to making calls about his medical stuff at the same time, doing 'c' after starting 'a' and needing to make a related call 'b' in the middle of the time span covered overall by 'a'. IOW, the ones I've installed and tried to set up are not very 'multi-tasking friendly'.

One will not allow entries w/overlapping time - which is a real pain, for example.

Does anyone one a sw program that EASILY lets you track multiple projects and 'clients' at the same time, saves the date for later tabulation or compilation and printing out, and which isn't quite so picky about 'overlapping time entry' type thing?

I realize one can't get a perfect world for "free" - but finances are an issue thus, I am hoping for either freeware or very lost-cost-ware ;Q The need for the app to be flexible is becoming very obvious as I try to set up and use the ones I did DL from the son of spy site.

Mel, you need project management software. MS Project will do it, but it's pricy, and I don't know of much freeware like that.

However, there may be other alternatives...

The consultcomm one seemed at first to be for 'Nix systems, but the home page indicates, "Platform-independent, so you can unify all your OS X, Windows, Linux and Solaris workstations with a single application". Since XP Home and I aren't the best of friends...... it would work on XP?

Do I need to install the IzPack thing, and then DL the "binary ZIP" file, and use the IzP to 'unzip' the zip file, the latter I assume is the program file?

The 2nd URL points to content that's either been moved or somesuch.

Gwal sent me a nifty one that is sooooooooo nift I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to work it :(
Then the freeware/trial sw I was using in the interim decided to lock me out at the end of the 'trial', despite be adverted as retaining basic functionality after the end of the trial.

Another day, another deep sigh.

The automted installer is also a ZIP file.Windows XP can unzip it.It looks like the easiest and most complete one.You may have to click "setup" or something after double clicking it to unzip it but if it's really automated maybe not.It may give you an icon in a temp folder to click.Download and save that one and then double click it and see what it does.
