I've never used Wolf due to the comments I have heard about it. Some like it, most don't. Personaly I would stick with the proven...M193, when ya can find it. :)

I have never shot Wolf in anything except my 2 AKs. Works fine in them. I know guys that shoot it all the time in their ARs and handguns w/o any problems. The "new" polymer coated stuff has less problems reported then the old lacquer coated ammo. YMMV.
For cheap plinking ammo I usually use S&B.

Generally, I try not to use steel cased ammo (in my AR's anyway), for several reasons.
For one, it's not the most accurate. It smells bad. It's not as reliable, and I like to train with what I shoot.
That said, I have friends who love Wolf, even in their AR's and they don't seem to have issues with it.
I've always considered wolf cheap ammo for cheap guns, like AKs. I've used in in my AK with out a problem. I'd rather use Federal XM 193, but its not always available. Black Hills is excellent, but expensive. What about Federal Lake City SS109 M855 62 gr? Also if you giys don't mind, any advice on good .308? I like Black Hills 168 gr match grade, but again cost is an issue? Would I dare run Wolf .308 through it or am I just kidding myself?;)
PS: I have heard steel cased cartridges are bad, but no one has ever told me exactly why.

Shot thousands of rounds of both .223 and 7.62x39. Just as reliable as any other ammo IMO.

Supposedly steel case ammo is hard on your extractor. In an AR its a $12 part...big whoop. Shoot 8,000 rounds of Wolf and you have saved several hundred dollars over XM193 or other expensive factory ammo...you can but alotta extractors with that kinda dough.

Just sent 260 rounds down range without a hiccup At 50 yards, I can get 1.5" groupings when I'm shooting well. That opens up to about 3" at 100 yards.
It's fun blasting ammo, and I'd rather keep the good stuff for when SHTF. I can also rapid fire when I'm feeling frisky without worrying about my pocketbook.
Though if I had unlimited finances, I'd buy XM193 or Q3131A every time.

My biggest issue with steel cases is the reliability factor. Brass works much better in everyway possible (aside from price).
