View Full Version : Stock trigger on my G35
My stock G35 has a better trigger than my G19 with a couple of thousand rounds, a .25 trigger job and 3.5# connector.
Has anyone else noticed that the stock trigger on their Longslide is better than a 3.5# connector and polish job in a smaller gun?

I notice the following about G35:
1. i can hit the ten ring weak hand only
2. i can hit the ten ring strong hand point shooting
3. i can print in the ring just outside of the ten (9 ring?) weak hand point shooting.
all at fifteen yards.
If i aim properly with decent stance, as one might expect i can hit the ten ring at fifteen yards. Probably i can get out to 20 yards before too long with similar performance. I attribute this to:
1. the smooth trigger face of the stock trigger on the 35 (as opposed to the "target" trigger on the 23)
2. the 4.5 # connector and very nice feeling trigger break.
3. great balance of the longer slide.
I would like to try a 24, but my local range doesn't have them to rent. It will be a while before I can cough up the dough for a 24, plus i think a SOCOM 16 is next on the list.

Where in Florida do you live wekivaGLOX? Anywhere near NASA?

Pretty close to NASA, about thirty minutes or so. I'd show one of the pictures that I was VERY priveledged to get at a night launch with a press pass, but i want to preserve the copyright. It was from the the last Atlantis night launch (sts-107?), really a very moving experience.

Add a Wolff reduced power firing pin spring and it will be sweeter.

I have considered doing just that, but was concerned with light strikes.
Squadman, have you had any problems with light strikes?

DiverDn, that was my concern in the beginning, but I have not experienced it. I was reading a gunsmithing book of mine, and one of the test when you are tweaking the trigger(1911) was to test for the FP strike, place a pencil, eraser facing the hole and pull the trigger. If the pencil jumps out of there at least a foot, then you have enough force to ignite the primer. I did this to my 35 one night and nearly got the pencil stuck in the ceiling in our bedroom, this is one of the things you fix before the wife sees it;g. With the Wolff 4 lbs, my 35 has gone through 2000 and some rounds without a problem with all brands except the Wolf ammo. Once you try it, you will never go back;b

I put one in, no light strikes.
i tried the pencil thingie with the stock spring... the pencil barely moved... i mist have a soft eraser... anyhow, i ordered the softer spring anyhow and will make it work!
yep, it worked... i have sonce sold off my g35, but i liked that setup so much that i bought all of the extended parts and wolff spring for my g17... 1000+ rounds of no problems and lots of dead skunks, possums, raccoons, hogs... shrimp stew... shrimp salad... shrimp kabbobs...

I just received one from Topglock.com for my G22. I was concerned with possible light primer strikes.
