What's involved in replacement of gas block?

I've got a gas block on my AR15 that has rails on all four sides and I was thinking of replacing it. Maybe with a standard front sight gas block or maybe with a lo-profile gas block.

But I was wondering how difficult it would be to remove my current gas block and reinstall a replacement. I've never done this before and I have no idea what is involved.

If you've got a railed gas block, I'd guess it's probably secured with a couple of allen head screws on the bottom. They may be loctited on, so removal may require a little elbow grease and heat.

Putting on a standard one involves drifting in a couple of roll pins at the base of the gas block. There may also be allen head style standard gas blocks--I don't know.
