View Full Version : g26 to replace g30???
Just posted a similar question on the sub club forum. Want to get different perspectives. Today, I shot a g26 for the first time. I also shot my g30 that I've had and enjoyed for quite a while. The problem is that I really like the g26 and I think I can shoot it better than the g30. I am seriously considering trading in my g30 toward a g26 for a carry gun. It looks like the g26 would be a more comfortable carry, iwb. Will I regret making such a trade?

ITs up to you.....I have a friend that shoots the 26 and loves it. He shoots it great. I Love my 30 and feel if you are carrying only 10 rds make the count and go with the .45acp. You can always get another 30 if you do make the swap. ~wg
I am looking at getting a 26 to complement my 19 and now DoubleTap has its smokin 9mm rounds The 30 was my first glock and she will always be with me ;f

I have both. The G26 is easier to carry. Lighter, smaller. The G26 is easy to handle even with +P ammo. You could carry a G17/G19 mag if you want more firepower.
Thanks for the input. Gun store is closed till Tues. so I have some time to think about it before I do anything rash.

I remember a Dawg regular named WalterGA that was a die-hard G30 fan but traded up to a G26. I'd love to have one but I just can't give my baby up. It's been the best gun I've owned.
I have both, I really enjoy shooting the 30 over the 26. For me, fit and function is better in the 30. I could make some changes to the 26 to make it more comfortable to shoot. I will say that the 26 is much easier to conceal.
Thanks for the input. I did buy the g26. Great little pistol. Since this is the Big Dawgs forum, you will be pleased to hear that I did not have to trade in my g30 yet. Actually, I may never have to part with it.
It's hard to go wrong with either of them. I carry my 26 frequently in the summer. In a few months when the weather starts to cool down, I'll be carrying the 30 much more often.
