Movie forum?

In seeing the title to the "Sin City" movie thread and reading the first couple posts, it got me thinking that this site could use a movie forum to let everyone know whether new movies are good or bad. Maybe a select group of people would agree to reviw movies and let other interested members know if they are thumbs up/ thumbs down. There are probably a few folks that see most of the big, new movies each month who could do it. Nothing in depth.

I know there are many sites out there dedicated to reviews, but this forum could take into account the <general> feelings of gun owners and help weed out the anti-gun, anti-freedom or just plain bad movies and help us NOT spend money on the trash that is often released.

There is a lot of movie talk here already. Could/should it be put in one forum that might keep some unsuspecting people from wasting their money on a bad or generally "anti" type of movie? I know it's late. This might be a bad idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I agree also. But lets sticky a message where all the reviewers take a set of movies and rate them so we will have some idea if the reviewer likes or dislikes some of the movies that we might like or dislike. Obviously they would need to be fairly controversial ones.

I think she's suggesting you make the request in that forum and count the yes votes til you get 50. Maybe she could move it there for you.:)

I'd be down with this. Maybe the "Armchair Club" Sit back, relax, and discuss your favorite movies and books. Maybe include TV shows and magazines too, kind of like a giant board for reviews. I know I'm always trying to find reliable reviews on new movies, books, tv shows.

I like coming across the up-to-date movie reviews people do go to in the normal forum. It's nice to glance past asnd see a 'yes' or "don't go" for a headline - I don't even have to click on it, but it will be in the back of my head in case a "movie theater day/date" does pop up.

I'm not actually going to frequent, or probably ever visit, a movie forum here at GLock Talk, so in essence it seems you would be taking away good content from the non-gun forum. It is exacly stuff like this (every-day stuff), for up-to-date reviews, that the non-gun forum is for.

Do you ever use the "view latest posts" link on the Home page of GT???? That is how I use GT and it shows all the posts that were posted since my last visit. This way you get to look at all the new stuff in all the categories and can accidentally run across movie and tv posting info even if you don't visit each specific area!! Try it you'll like it.
