It is probably a post sample and the reason it is expensive for a post is because of the night vision scope.

It is a scam.
There has been a guy selling C3 guns at ridiculous prices on GA the last few weeks and taking the money and running.
"If it is too good to be true, it is."

I never thought of the dealer sample. Thats pretty likely. He should list that in the description.

A dealer sample M16 is about $500-$1000, tops.

You must not have read the ad, or be aware of the scams going on at GA right now, or .... Lets' look at the ad:
***** Fully Automatic Colt AR15 ****** In hard black carry case. Complete with NightVizion Scope and LazerMax Infrared beam. New In Box. Had one clip through it but otherwise unused. Comes with 10 clips, sling, and cleaning kit. Great price!
1) Colt does not make nor has ever made a post-sample AR15 machine gun.
2) NightVizion is spelled Night Vision.
3) LazerMax is spelled LaserMax.
4) NIB, but has "Had one clip through it but otherwise unused", which is it?
5) They are not clips but magazines.
6) And no picture? I wonder why?
7) No Credit cards. Let me guess, you have to wire money to an off-shore account.
8) No inspection period, US contact information.
Get it yet?
If you want some fun, ask him who made the Night Vision device or the laser. Ask for SN of gun. Or to send copy of the F5/F10 or whatever form it is on.
hrmm..the lasermax on the AR-15 must be some kind of experimental model not yet availble to the public..that must be why the price is so high.;g ;g ;g
