Pretty much any image software will do it for you.
If you don't have any software, you can install a really powerful program called the Gimp (http://www.gimp.org).
 Irfanview.com for it's freeware.Great program.^3
I haven't detected any spyware. Enjoy

I second Iview! For home use, the full version is free.
Or imagemagick gives you this ability:
convert file.jpg file.bmp
Simple ;j

Past the pic into M$ Paint. You can do it there...
You might loose some clarity, but depending on what you plan on doing with them, it could be OK too.
Or email them to me and I will do it for ya ;3

That'll work too :)
If you have MS Office, there is a program called MS Photo Editor that does not install on the default setting. i have used it with good results. You have to do a "Save As". I do not know any way of doing a batch of files with this program.

+1 (or more!) for Irfanview. I've used it for years, and recommended it to friends. All have liked it and none have said anything bad about it. Not only can you read and convert images among a wide range of formats, but you can perform such functions as changing the photo size, crop photos, perform batch conversions, et cetera.
