There's no problem with a G17 in production. Just make sure you use either fmj, teflon or copper plated bullets para madali linisin yung barrel. Also, when dryfiring use a snap cap.

Ahlan!!! Kapatid na OFW ;F dito naman ako sa Riyadh.

Kung G17 ang first choice mo subok na yan ,G17 and gamit ng top shooter natin sa production. As Sir Batangueno recommend Lead reloads are a NO NO.
You can also try CZ75/CZ85 , Jericho , Tanfoglio..whatever you feel is best for your hands. ;f here goes another one na malilito sa pagpili..;f Good luck

I highly recommend the Glock 17. It is easy to use. Durable and reliable. It can digest more than 100,000 rounds ( basta fmj lang ).

The only problem with a G17 is it's not a 1911.

Hehe

Seriously, I would tend to agree, a G17 is indeed a good choice for a first gun.

naku wag yung team "sadik-ki", dahil puro tagayan ang mangyayari nyan. hindi shooting gun ang magagamit kung di shooting glass. ;f tsaka di bala ang ma-uubos kung 'di bote.;g ;e ;)

friends from the middle east. Suport nyo naman yung mga products namin dyan we are exporting filipino made high quality products we manufacture and export the "MAMA SITA'S" mixes and sauces.Think sinigang and caldereta and oyster sauce. Been there once for store checking and sampling. ( Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddha, Kuwait, Barhain, dubai)two months tour of duty.

atmarcella,
i also consider the CZ85 combat or Jericho 941F for a game gun kung sakali di makabou from s_i parts.(mahirap kasi hanapin yang mga parts na yan sa Cebu).
pero pag-naka tsamaba ng murang Glock-17 or 19, bahala na si batman mag-decide. ;g

actually both are at par with one another, as evidenced recently by:

adam tyc-cz85 combat-winner 100%

dave sevigny-glock 17-very close 2nd 99.09%

2005 world shoot

the major advantage of the cz would be the fact that you can shoot lead thru it, thereby you can shoot cheaper with it, ang gusto ko naman sa g17 is the fact that you can turn it into a submachine gun ;f ;I ;I ;I all it needs is a pascual fssg and a 33rnd mag;f

kaya nga pag-naka tsamba ng mas mura na g17 talotalo na. ;f

G17 would be my choice of all around gun for a newbie. As for lead bullets, I have not had any problems. If you remember my post many moons ago, it takes a lot of elbow grease to clean out the lead. I use brass steel wool wrapped around a regular bore brush. Bristle brushes are okay but they curl down when pushed through tight spaces. Brass/steel wool retain their shape when pushed in or out. Try it and you will see chips of lead embedded within the brass shreds.

HS2000 for pistol or Taurus M85 for a revolver. Both are cheap and are very reliable.

Got mine last years gunshow, it cost me 42k including papers and some stuff. tumaas man ngayon konti lang siguro, sa November may gunshow ule.
field stripping is very easy no tools required.

Yes polygonal riffling pareho but im not sure kung same number ng grooves , jericho has 6 grooves , experts say polygonal riffling help increase bullet velocity but using lead realod is another story.

According to Magnicent World of Guns and Sports Cubao (where i bought mine) and from the Shooters i asked before i bought mine walang problema sa parts same with Glocks. So far my di ko pa na try to change any parts except i bought 2 extra mags coz di naman ako masyadong active sa competition pag nasa pinas lang ako.

Di naman naglalayo ng price ang Jericho and Glocks ..its a matter of preference lang siguro. i just like metal of 1kg+ it helps to lessen the recoil, then again may advantage ang Glock for carry mas magaan.

If i were you ill try to shoot both + the CZ75/85 , kung saan ka comportable yun ang bilhin mo + consider mo na rin yung versatility factor(for carry and competition)or whatever your intended purpose.

Hah ganyan din ako nung una litong lito sa dame ng pistols available di ako makadecide kung ano bibilin ko.. the bottom line is BUDGET Availability.

Same here, although I use siling labuyo whenever possible crushed in toyo, suka or patis, mama sita's pure labuyo hot sauce is the best tasting hot sauce in the market unlike tabasco or the other brands which alter the flavor of the food :)
