Are the GAP guns using a different slide release lever than th 9/40/357s? Can I use a 9/40/357 slide lever with a GAP?
I don't use the lever to release or lock the slide much (if ever). I just don't want the standard lever to prevent my GAP gun from functioning properly if I ever get it mixed up.
I know the 37 has the extended slide release. I am not too sure about the 38 or 39 though as I have never seen any of them.

my 37 does have a different number slide release.although i can't see much difference between it and a stock extended one.

45GAP slide releases are simply the factory extended ones. They were placed there because of the overhang that the slides have to the lower receiver. The lower profile release was very difficult to actuate because of that. This does not matter to some people as they don't use the lever as a release anyway, they use it as a slide stop only. If you want to install the lower profile one, it will not affect the functioning of your gun at all provided you install it correctly.

Yep, they have 'em. As G&D indicates, the regular one would work but it's a case of watch what you ask for. One may go to manually clear the gun and when nonchalantly trying to lock the slide open, not get the purchase one needs on the slide stop lever. People will be asking if you limp-wrist it also, while you blame it on the "stiff-when-new" recoil spring. :joker:
