No you can. At least in Panamá where I live only LE/Military personel can have them. My Agency issue me one when I received my commission 10 years ago. I like it a lot, same size as the 17 the only difference is the selector.

The Gun Control ACt of 1968 stopped the registration OF FOREIGN manufactured NFA weapons (of all types) as transferable... so there are NO transferable ORIGINAL G18's out there... this is also why you never see ORIGINAL TRANSFERABLE MP5's for sale or short barrel shotguns or suppressors.... The Gun Owner's Protection Act of 1986 banned the registration OF all full-auto weapons as transferable...

New suppressors and short barrel rifles and shotguns are bought and sold all the time. It's just regulated by the BATF.

I have one being demonstrated on my web site at www.tomsgunshop.com . I believe there are some class 3 dealers that have them, but Glock will no longer sell them to ANY body but a law enforcement agency. At least that is what Glock Told me & I'm on there range program & a type 7 class 2 mfg. For what it's worth. Tom I DO NOT own the one being shot!

No these cannot be registered by individuals.... only PD's and the Gov't can... no new full autos can be registered since 1986...

I think you would be better off buying these conversion kits from somewhere outside the U.S. the one shown here is regulated by U.S. law so they would have to go through all the ATF red tape to export a machinegun to a foreign country, I doubt they would do this for a 1 device sale.

There are companies in Argentina and Germany which sells similar parts that are under no regulation from sale, it would be easier to get those than to try and get a U.S. manuf. to export a machinegun to you.

I can asure you that the FSSG is the best selector you can have, it's the original, the first one ever made for Glocks, it's made in polymer just like the pistol and has lifetime warranty.
I've shoot several pistols with this selector and it works as fine as a G18.

They do have Glock 18ns over here you have just not been very observant.

Full auto is not for most cops, most cops don't have the needed skills and training to go with the use. The cops who need them have them.

considering how much ammo cops go through using a semi auto pistol in firefights, i would hate to see news stories of cops running out of ammo because of them using a machine pistol, and missing with all the shots.

You can fit it on any Glock. When testing it in SA, I shot even a G26 and a G30, kind of hard to hold.

i know that the barreel is compensated but i have a specific question

what is the diference between Glock 17 and Glock 18 inside or interlal components?


inside they have the same firing pin, trigger conector, same materials, the same striker etc etc

The angle of the porting is different, & I was told the rockwell hardness of the barrel is alot higher. I could see & compare for myself on the porting, but took the guy's word for the rockwell stuff. The rear of the slide is also ported, just the slide, NOT the barrel. I believe he said that was for counter balance. Thats all I know!!! Tom

Please follow-up here if this is indeed a change in policy, or just a special one-time situation. I talked to the Glock LE dealer in my area and he is unaware of any change on policy. If this is true, it will drop the street price of a G18 from $3000 to about $500.

If you want genuine get the FSSG selector (http://www.fss-g.com), the only one holding an US patent. Mention G18 when you contact them and you'll get a good deal.

FSSG I've fired several times with different Glocks, it works flawlees just like a G18. It has lifetime warranty, you can go wrong with it.
Never seen the german nor know anybody that has one.

The SOT I was referring to did get a brand new g18 in, but not directly from glock, and when I questioned him, he declined to give further details. I appologise for getting anyones hopes up.

Yeah! sear and slide plate look as one whole piece, I'm guessing the adapter moves up and down when you turn the level.

i have owned a full auto mod 19c for a while now. I use the fssg fire convertor. the gun shoots flawlessly with standard and +p ammo. dont use cheap blaser or similar ammo or it will jam.

the guys from argentina and germany and russia are a bunch of scammers. the only one to buy is from jorge leon out of venezuela.

i have shot probably 10,000 rds thru my mod 19 and it is still fine. obviuosly you have to let the barrel cool down - esp with the 32 rd clips...i can dump a 32 clip in about 1.5 seconds so this is a faster cycle rate than advertised.

the fssg has 2 modes controlled by trigger pull. you get a 3rd burst if you tap the trigger and continual fire if you do not release the trigger.

it is a fun gadget and has its applications but i can guarantee you that it takes alot of practise to master. if you had never shot one before you would miss a man at 30 feet with a full clip on the first try! the videos make it look easy!!

if you live in the usa then forget it...

I pried out of my SOT buddy how he got his g18 today. The person he gets his demo letters from is a CLEO and when he ordered his departments g18's he ordered one extra and transfered it out to my buddy. Apparantly glocks contactual agreement they require to sell an agency a g18 does state that its ok to transfer one out to an SOT, although they strongly suggest to "relinquish" it back to glock if you no longer need it.
