This is a good idea as they usually just broke their MG would really want to hand them something as Fragill as a camera ;Q

What part of PA are you in? Also anyone know of a program to convert analog Super 8 into digital so it can be burned on a CD?

All they have to do is hold the camera. As long as you tell them not to walk or chew gum while handling the cam. you should be fine. ;)
