Why does S&W not sell night sights to anyone but law enforcement? They'll strap a laser to their guns, but no night sight Novaks?

Although the 1911PD does not have tritium night sights, the three-dot Novak white sights provide a pretty clear sight picture in relatively low light conditions. Obviously, they don't light up in pitch black conditions, but they are pretty easy to see if you consider they are non-tritium sights. And if you figure around $750 for the pistol with the three-dot Novak white sights, it is a pretty good deal.
Just my take. I would obviously rather have night sights on the pistol, but for that price, I can live with the white sights.

I think they're great pistols and great sights, I just don't understand why they don't offer the night site option.
Who cares if they don't want to offer night sights as a factory option.
There are plenty of excellent aftermarket tritium sights available and plenty of gunsmiths who will be more than happy to install them for you.
