Status of Gator Classic in Thibodeaux, La., this weekend?

As of yet, I haven't been able to reach anyone associated with the match to confirm whether or not the Gator Classic state has been cancelled/postponed in light of the hurricane aftermath...I'd pre-entered so if its on, I wanted to be there, but I'm assuming it will be cancelled.

Anyone know anything for sure one way or the other?

Having weathered three hurricanes at this point, my heart goes out to the hundreds of thousands suffering in its aftermath in south Louisiana, Mississippi and Louisiana. Please consider supporting the Red Cross and other charities involved in the relief efforts, if so inclined.

Just read on Brian Enos's forums that the match has been postponed. They picked the weekend of Oct 8th to reschedule, but someone pointed out that is the same weekend of the MS Classic, so they may reschedule again.

As I noted, it has proved impossible to reach anyone associated with the match in the South Louisiana area affected by the storm. Thibodeaux most likely escaped the worst of the storm, but communications are still spotty in Louisiana east of the Mississippi and I haven't seen any reports on power outages in that area--which could mean either good or bad news.

Even if the community escaped the storm completely, air travel and hotel rooms for out of the area participants would be difficult to impossible for this location, considering the emergency conditions to the east.

Hadn't thought of checking BE forums...should have known the "pros" would know what was happening before we local plinkers did ;)
