brand new 1911 , shoots right on w/230hb , no fte ftf , but .....
when i stripped it out i found voids and a crack running thru the body of the sear...
smoothed up the sear somewhat but will obviously want to replace it asap...
don't trust the factory not to make it worse than it is already , can fit a new sear no problem , the question is who makes the best replacement part ...
haven't gunsmithed professionally for over 5 years so kinda out of the parts loop...
who's doing the best work now ?
hammer seems to be in spec , so only need a good (maybe prepped)sear ...
any suggestions ?
1911tuner , are you out there somewhere ?
