im using a 34 with 13# ismi recoil. im thinkin about switching to a lighter striker spring. due to my current setup getting over powered by the stock striker spring and pulling the slide out of battery.....

I use one in my 17 with a 12# Wolff spring. I have not had any issues with it for 2500+ rounds.
I've used one a couple times with the factory Guide rod and it works fine.
Can't say I notice a huge difference though.
I used to, had a few light strikes and went back to stock.

No problems w/ my 34, it's gone bang for me every time, a buddy did have a light strike with it the other week though.

well, i just dont like how it pulls the slide out of battery. maybe ill have to try a 15# ive got coming.
i know this might open a whole differant bag of worms. but do you think it would help having a titanium striker with a lighter striker spring? (less mass to move)?
I've got a Wolff reduced power striker (firing pin) spring in my G35 9mm conversion. 5,000 trouble free rounds thus far. I also run a reduced power FP safety spring.
I experimented with an extra power trigger spring, but I found that the trigger safety would sometimes stay disengaged when the trigger released (ymmv).

I would only use ammunition w/ Federal primers!

I had a bunch of light strikes with Win primers. I took a used striker spring out of my G19 and put it in my G35. Lighter than stock but heavier than Wolff reduced power. No problems anymore. I did just start loading with Fed primers so I'm going to test the reduced spring again.
Is there a spring you can buy that is slightly heaver than Wolff?

GS Bell - what primers are you loading with? Switch to Federal primers & you will be fine.
They were Factory CCI Blazers.
I know, I know start reloading ;f
