View Full Version : Kart EZ Fit 1911 Barrels
Has anyone tried the Kart brand EZ Fit barrels ? Brownells has both the barrels and the do-it-your-self tool kit. I am interested in any positive (or negative) comments from users.

Kart barrels are good. So are Bar-sto,and Schuemann. The most important thing to keep in mind is the fitting of the barrel. In order for you to get the most out of these aftermarket barrels, they have to be fitted right.
Also keep in mind if you use a ramped barrel, you may have to have you slide milled to accept the barrel, if it isn't already milled.
I put a Kart ez-fit barrel in an Essex I built.
The results were much better than I expected. I recommend you get the barrel installation tool kit for the Kart ez-fit.
It took me more than the 2 hours they say is needed - I took my time and the gun shoots very well.

With all due respect, I think it is the frame, not the slide that has to be modified for a ramped barrel.
Thanks to everyone for the input. I will give it a try.
