View Full Version : New G39 owner
Well yesturday I got my new G39 and man does it look sweet. I can't wait to take it to the range, either tomorrow or saturday. Can anyone suggest a good place to get the pierce grip? I've been floating around these forums for a while now contemplating on whether to get the G30 or G39. I'm a pretty big guy so I was leaning toward the G30 but I finally decided that I would be fine with the 39 plus I really liked the fact that you could conceal the 39 a lot better than the 30. The only real thing that got me worried was the new GAP round. I was afraid that it might not do too good but from the looks of it all you guy's/girl's are happy and are able to get the ammo with no problems. Anyways i'll stop rambling, just wanted to let you guy's know about the new member in the family ;f Btw whats the best place to get the pierce grip?
Congrats! It is a cute gun, isn't it? And a .45 at that. I love mine. At first, I had problems finding ammo, but started ordering by the case on the web, and all is ok. I got used to shooting it without an extended grip, so I don't know about Pierce. Did you know that the G39 is the lightest Glock available? Anyway, I like everything about it. Enjoy!

Welcome to the wonderful world of .45GAP. Now there's no turning back. ;)
Keep us posted on the range report. Have a G38 and love it. Seriously eyeing a G39 for the next addition to the GAP family.
going today after work. i'm excited. Should I clean it before hand or is the lube from factory good enough to go straight to the range?

I would at least oil - per the manual. Not much needed, just to make sure the slide does just that - slides. A good cleaning of the bore wouldn't help if the gun wasn't always in it's case before the sale.
Well I finally went on friday to the range. Took the lady and a few friends that had never been shooting before. I took an AR-15, Ruger Mark II .22lr And the G39. My initial thought on the 39 was wow this has a pretty good kick to it but It felt that way because I did not have the pierce grip but after a few rounds I was able to get good groups in. I enjoyed shooting it a lot so it looks like its a keeper.
Here are some pictures of my G39.

No louder than the .45ACP. IMO, .40 is louder to me than the .45.

And that is what makes a 45 so sweet, less pressure, less noise, better(IMHO) recoil feel.
It does it all.
