So you are in NOLA, and now the authorities are coming to confiscate your guns, all of them, including your Class III stuff. What is easier to safely hide, a RDIAS or an entire rifle?
Had I posted this 3 weeks ago, you all would have told me to take of my tin foil hat and stop looking for black helicopters.

No you go buy another AR15 for $700, instead of taking a $12000 loss. ;Q

Me too, the theory of the question was you have about 30-60 seconds notice the cops are coming into your home to take your guns. Obviously if you have advance notice, you pack them up and run. But even then, if you are stopped at a roadblock while fleeing, better to have a RDIAS hidden and lose the rifle, then the RR.
EDIT:
BTW, many of the folks getting their guns taken are in dry areas that had no flooding, and no reason to think the cops were coming for their guns after almost 2 weeks...

Police fearing deadly confrontations with jittery residents enforced a new order that bars homeowners from owning guns. That order apparently does not apply to the hundreds of M-16-toting private security guards hired to protect businesses and wealthy property owners.
Well I wouldn't be makin it to 59 if they came to my door;z
