Well....perhaps not all, but a lot. ;)
These are some pics of the result of changing out the stock bushing on my Springfield GI model, for an EGW angle bored bushing. I bought the bushing from Brownell's. It required a little fitting on the OD, but the ID was perfect.
21 rounds each target, fired offhand at 25 yards.

Very interesting...I was just about to post a question asking what would be the easiest drop-in upgrades I could make to my colt 1991A1 Gov. Model to improve accuracy. What part number was the bushing that you purchased? I thought my gun was reasonably accurate, until I went to the range with my buddy and shot his Kimber ;P
I was thinking about maybe upgrading to a solid guide rod, etc...The problem is that I don't want to change the look of the gun (I've never gotten bitten by my hammer, plus everyone has beavertail grip safeties & commander style hammers now ;f ) and I can't afford any smith work (saving up for a cz-75b). So any cheap & easy upgrades to improve accuracy would be very welcome. about the only external thing that I want to change are the sights...I would like to swap out the GI sights for some novaks at some point.

The Brownell's p/n is 296-410-110.
The only other thing I've done to the gun is replace the GI guide rod with a full length rod. It seems to cycle a bit better now.
I did smooth out the edges of the hammer and grip safety a bit. Coming away from the range with a bloody spot on my right hand was getting a bit old. ;f
