View Full Version : 17 as accurate as 34 from a rest?
Is there anything about the 34 that makes it more accurate, or does it outperform the 17 just because the increased sight plane and better balance inherent with a longer slide?
Anything different about the barrel itself, aside from length, that would improve accuracy?
Also is the trigger the same?

No.
No.
G34/35s come stock with a 3.5lb connector when G17s and others have a 5lb connector.

The increased sight radius of a G34 MAY help some shooters achieve greater accuracy. The lighter trigger pull may also help the shooter achieve greater accuracy. The longer slide and barrel, with a center-of-gravity further forward, may reduce muzzle flip (I think it does, but some disagree) and help the shooter get back on target quicker.
There is nothing different between the G17 and G34 which would cause the latter to have greater mechanical accuracy.
