View Full Version : Light scratching in barrel?

I just noticed a light scratch in the barrel near the end of it. It's very small. I doubt this one is much to be concerned with, but then I got to thinking -- what kind of defects should I be concerned about in my barrel? Will a lot of light scratching in the barrel affect it's performance? I figure that pitting and rust would be a major concern. But how about scratches?

Glock G36,
Get some JB Bore Shine and see if you can polish that scratch out. That might be a very minor blemish that can be rectified quickly. Everytime you polish the barrel it'll become more fouling resistant anyway so you can't go wron in trying anyway.
