Sistema Colt, for $315

Well I have wanted another 1911, and I came accross a sistema mod.1927 Colt, for $315. BUT I don't know much about these. Is it a good deal? Where can I find Info on them? It will probablly become a truck/part time carry pistol. Any info would be great. thanks.

Yes, that's a good deal these days. The Systemas are about as close to a Colt (from that era) as you can get. At the price you mention it wouldn't be cost prohibitive to modify the gun if you'd like, seeing as how it'll be a gun you plan on using, rather than a wall hanger/safe queen.

Ah Dang it he sold it last night at closing. Is there any other sources for sistemas? He told me origanally he got it from JLD, But I can only find a JLD the makes HK rifle kits.
