View Full Version : Help me choose an IWB Holster
OK, I'm down to 3 choices of an IWB holster for my G30. Your comments, especially comparative, on these would be appreciated:
Kramer IWB #3, Horsehide
Milt Sparks Versa Max 2, Horsehide
Comp-Tac C-T.A.C.

I've heard nothing but continiously good things about CTAC. I have a comptac procarry which is easy to slip in and out for when I'll have to abide by those crazy Ohio CCW laws but the CTAC looks fantastic.

Dude, I'd try the Predator holster line. They're very ergonomic and come with a lifetime warranty. Check them out @:http://www.predatorholsters.com/
For $49 you can get the Low Rider from www.rmholsters.com I highly recommend them. That price includes shipping and I find the quality of them supurb.

If going w/ Kydex, the C-Tac is a good choice. Going w/ leather I have owned Sparks IWB holsters for carry/range work since '98 & you won't find a better product nor better people to deal with. Tony & his crew all carry daily, shoot often & will stand behind their product. 5-7 men who make holsters for a living, that are very practical & well made. The wait is well worth it. PM me if I can be of further assistance.

Give their MacDaniel II a look.
That's what I carry my G30 in.

Sam's a GREAT guy.

Versa Max with out question !! ;f
Thanks to all for their comments. I have ordered a C-TAC, but if I don't like it you have given me plenty of other fine choices to try next. Seems like a mag carrier that conceals well is a bigger problem -- OWB's are almost as lumpy as a holster, and IWB with a 45 double-stack is like a 2nd gun on the other side. I really favor kydex for mag holders -- I don't want uncontrolled drag when I need the mag. Pocket carry for concealment looks reasonable, and I'm thinking of fashioning a leather "paddle" and attaching it to a kydex holder (to keep it oriented, and have it not want to leave the pocket with the mag). Comments of the mag holder situation?
Sidearmor.com makes the best kydex mag holders I have ever used!!
