Kahr will probably send you a new pin to see if it's that oppossed to the frame.

I dont know if this is correct or not - just my thought...
Is the pin dirctional? I took out a sear pin on another gun and did not realize it was to come out in one dirction and go back the opposite. Apparently the holes and pin were made to cause an interefernce fit in that way. Now the pin works loose after a few hundred rounds and can be pushed back in by hand.

Mic, does your P40 have a trigger pin “retaining pin” like this one does?

If not that is your problem… if there is a hole in the frame like the above picture but no little pin in it, this is a problem too of course.
Let us know.
Without a trigger pin “retaining pin” in a polymer framed Kahr there is nothing properly keeping the trigger pin from “walking” out. (FYI, the steel framed Kahrs don’t require a trigger pin “retaining pin”.)
hayseed_40, all Kahr Trigger pins have a flat head on one side so there is no confusion as to which way is which. ^c
I do have the hole and retaining pin is still in place. What I did notice is that the trigger pin may have not been seated deep enough to have the retainer pin engage in the trigger pin's index. More likely it had loosened up over use. The only time the trigger pin was removed was when I first got it and sent it back to Kahr and they had to replace the trigger bar. This was 4-5 years ago and I do remember the pin walking out before but can not remember if it was pre or post the trip back to Kahr. I made sure the trigger pin was fully seated when I put the gun back together. As of now I can not push the pin out with my bare hands but I will have to fire another box of ammo to see if it is cured. Kahr did call back but I was not able to talk to them directly yet. Thank for the responses guys. Thanks for the picture as well it made me examine the interface more closely.

Well in that case Mic, I’d just rap that trigger pin good a few times to make sure she’s seated well & then give the trigger pin “retaining pin” a few whacks. ^c
Finally was able to fire my P40, With the retaining pin and trigger pin fully seated, after 25 rounds it started to walk out again. Dottie called back but I did not get a chance to talk to her. I miss placed her number does anyone have her extention? Thanks.

Thanks! Got a hold of Kahr have to send it in for them to fix it. She said it was an old style (one of the first P40s) trigger pin. She was suprised that it had lasted this long. I responded that I was suprised that if they knew about it why they did not fix it when I sent the gun back 3 years ago for a trigger bar problem :)

Of course just because they know about it now doesn't mean that they knew about it 3 years ago. ;)
