MK9 : elite trigger or standard

I have a MK9, M9093 Box,, and am wondering about changing out the trigger to an Elite. Does anyone know the difference between the two?

Standard has 1/2 in. of travel and the Elite has 3/8 in. of travel. So the Elite has 1/8 in. less trigger travel.

I have an early production MK9 that I had an elite trigger retrofitted to.

There is a very noticable difference for me.

Before, it seemed that I had to bury the trigger against the frame for it to fire, which is no small task if you have long fingers. (I have the same issue with SP101s) With the elite trigger, the pull length feels right in that it fires at the point you would think it should.

I don't have a non-Elite MK9 to compare. But in side by side testing my MK9 Elite 98 and PM9 have the same amount of throw and break the same distance from the frame (about 1/4). The Elite trigger is smoother and maybe just a tad lighter. But distance to pull before break happen to be the same. Curious...

PM9s have an elite trigger. It just so happens that your MK9 has a better one.

Since Kahr owners are an uncommon lot, I suspect not. ;)

It is my understanding that all Polymer Kahrs have the Elite Trigger.
