Your Last Thoughts and Recommendations

Alright boys I need your help on something. As I've mentioned a few times that Lakeland Florida is having a huge gunshow this weekend, I'd like your opinion.

If you could have any gun as a CCW be it a Kahr or something along those lines, what would you get? Price is not an issue!!!!!!

I'm thinking of an MK Elite (probably a .40 cal cause I love my PM40 but if a lot of people love their MK9 let me know) and then get the wood grips from Kahr like bulbboy and jmb79 which I think look awesome.

I don't want anything too big, something I can put in my pocket, I think that the P40 and P9 might be a little too big.

I already own a Sig 229 .357sig, an HK USP Tactical with CCF Suppressor, a Glock 19, My Kahr PM40, and I'm getting a full auto Mac10 (as soon as ATF transfers it).

So tell me what you think, I'll let you guys know what I get when I come back from the show this weekend!

I have the K40. Had it for about 5yrs now. Zero malfunctions. I really like it, but it does kick hard enough to make sustained practice uncomfortable.

If I were to get the MK series, I'd go for the MK9.....and someday, I may do just that! :cool:

I vote for a MK40 (with wood grips of course). If it needs to be pocket size the other would be the 642. If IWB carry is ok - then try usp40c (with LEM), P2000 in 40, or P239 in 40.

I like my MK 40 a lot but in pratical purpose as a pocketcarry gun I wish I would have waited a couple of years and got the PM9 when it came out. The MK is heavey for a pants pocket carry gun, not unusable but lighter is much better. I do love the gun but it does not fit my needs really well (I still have be using it for 5 years in that role though) I have a P40 which I think is the perfect IWB gun. If I was "forced" to buy another gun:) It would be a T9/40

If it is for pocket carry and you like the 40 cal., I think you already own it. The PM40. I have a MK9 and a PM9 and never carry the MK9 anymore in a pocket. Pocket carry of the PM series is so much easier. I do think the build quality of the MK series is better though. If you don't have a K series pistol yet, that would be something to look at. I sold off all my Sigs and HK's after shooting a K series several years ago and haven't looked back. See you in Lakeland.:)

My vote?

The gun that can do it all... a Kahr P9 Covert.

(If ya absolutely MUST have a .40 cal. then I'm sure the Kahr P40 Covert would do ya just fine. ;))
