View Full Version : Mag Well
Is the mag well offered by Glockmeister the T.H.E. Accessories version. They look the same, but GM references a design of their own, so I wasn't sure. If the two are different, is one better than the other? Thanks in advance.
I examined both the T.H.E. and the Glockmeister mag well and found them to be almost identical. I just ordered the Glockmeister part as it is considerably lower cost. IMHO I think I'll do just fine with the Glockmeister part.

THe GM magwell is made but a subcontractor out of Tuscon and is the same as the old THE design. The new THE design has a few changes. It has a single screw attachign it to the slug placed farther back so ther is more room to hog out the magwell. In addition the front and rear of the new THE have updated angles and cuts that give you more room.

Matt, the aluminum T.H.E. magwell; is it polished aluminum or black?

Chris,
The Aluminum magwell comes in black but if you want another color email me and I can probably get you one.
Matt
Nope, black works. Talk to you soon. Thanks.
Ordered one of the T.H.E. magwells from Custom Glock Racing. Thanks to Matt for his great response and quick turnaround. Installed it last night and did some dry firing. That thing is nice. I love it already.

Thinking of a magwell for a G22 for a bit of USPSA L10. Will the wieght of the brass vs the aluminum screw up the balance of the gun? Not planning to hang dot sights and such on the gun in L10. Maybe a tungsten guide rod.
Thanks

THe brass magwel well will change the balance of the gun but for the better. The weight will also help soften recoil. The Tungsten rod help reduce muzzleflip with the weight out front. You can even get them in the Heavy Metal Package at a reduced price.

Will the brass magwell fit a Glock 23 with fingergrooves?

No, the 19/23 have a totally different magwell area. It will only fit Small Frame Full Size guns. For a 19/23 try a Seattle Slug.

I love the way my G35 feels with T.H.E. brass magwell on it. It has really great balance and makes the gun a joy to shoot. I have the seattle slug on my G34 which adds a little weight, but nothing beats the feel of the brass magwell.
