Since you are writing from Belgium, your rules for Production are not the same as for the USA.
-you need as much magazine capacity as possible in Production (about 18 rounds)
-.40 cal is not practical for IPSC Production due to too few rounds in the mag
-the Glock 34 and 35 are NOT approved for IPSC Production
Most shooters here on the US-based Glock Talk Competition forum do NOT shoot IPSC, they shoot USPSA under different rules than you. Thus, their experience does not really apply to your situation.
Its no secret that I am a CZ fan and I love the SP-01 and 85 Combat. That being said, I think that the long/heavy dust cover on the SP-01 is a gimmick that does not give you an advantage over short/light dust covers or a plastic frame. One of the US-based CZ-USA Sponsored shooters even prefers the 85 Combat over the SP-01 and with the 85, you get an overtravel screw on the trigger.
The Glock is every bit as capable with 17 round magazines that generally hold 18 rounds in IPSC competition. IPSC allows only factory or factory option sights, but that includes the Heinie sights which are good.
Of the current IPSC (not USPSA) Production guns, the 85 Combat, the Glock 17, and the SP01 are about the best there are (at least of the Production guns for sale to the general public).

Gee, my answer was going to be, "The one you shoot the best".
I have a Glock 17 and a Beretta 92G Vertec. Conventional wisdom says the Glock should be my choice -- but I shoot the Beretta better, so that's what I use.
Come to think of it, I'd use any of my 9mm handguns in Production if I had to. They're all good weapons with about the same capacity (with some MecGar aftermarket magazines). Of course, that doesn't matter for USPSA....
