Ive only been doing these shoots for alittle over a month now I started at a score 0f 148.23 or so now if I win D limited once more they are going to move me to C limited which is fine I like the compition. My scores are now mid 30's to low 40's. My ? is what are some of the best tips that I can try to make my self faster and a better shot? Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure what type competition you are shooting in but with the D limited wording, I am assuming you mean uspsa commonly called ipsc. I highly recommend you go to www.mattburkett.com & search out his free tips & do them for a while. There is a lot to be gained on there & it's free. Then as you progress, perhaps buy his videos, especially 1-4. They are well worth the purchase price & besides, it helps out the guy that gave you the free tips! There are also some tips over on the uspsa website I believe, that are also free. Another thing, find a shooter at a match that is obviously better than you, & ask him for help. If you happen to find the jerk in the crowd, forget him & ask a different one. Almost every good shooter is willing to help newer folks. Watch what the good shooters do, how they transition, how they move. Smooth is fast, always! Dry fire at home, get a video camera & tape your draws & reloads. That ought to be enough homework for a week or two!!!! Good luck, remember to have fun!

there is so much knowledge out there that it will take you more than two weeks, if you willing to search. Mattburkets web site and videos are great. Steve Anderson also has a great dry fire training book with more than enough drills to keep you plenty busy. I have benifitted a great deal from Brian enos is web site, reading tips and information from the forums. Go to www.BurkettVideo.com, AndersonShooting.com, and Brianenos.com. YOU will find plenty of free tips.
