View Full Version : JPoints on Glocks
I am putting a JPoint on my G-35 with a mount vs melting it in. Opinions from experienced users please.
Thanks All,
John

Im looking at doing the same thing with either the Dr Optic or Jpoint. When you have it done, pix would be appreciated. :)

Actually, we're waiting for YOU to be the "experienced user" and advise us ;)
I'm considering a Docter sight for my G22, along with a 9mm conversion. Are you using a mount that fits the rear sight dovetail?
I'm using a mount that slides in the rear dovetail. If you buy it from JPrifles they include one mount free. I would rather have it melted into the rear slide but once done it's forever. If I ever want to sell the gun I think I'm better off selling the gun & JPoint separately rather than as a unit.
Tom Novaks site shows some Doctors mounted on top of the slide.
Thanks All,
John

Where have you found the cheapest price for the Dr. Optic? The cheapest I have found is Natchezss at $293.21 w/o mount. That beat my dealer discount at Brownells by a few dollars even.
If I were to buy a Doctor optic it would be from Bevin Gram. He improves their durability and the brightness of the red dot. Not sure about Bevin's price, everyone seems to charge about $200.00 to melt them into the frame.

I have the Tasco Optima (same as Jpoint). Have had it on a 24c for over 5 years. No problems what so ever. Used the mount that slips into rear sight. When the Optima dies I would replace with the doctor sight.
