After the longest 8 days ever (mandatory wait period in MD), I finally picked up my G21 yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to take her to the range yet, but I've got 1000 rounds of range ammo being delivered today, so I will be set to take her out for a spin this weekend.

good choice! shootemup!
Terrific choice. If .45ammo was as cheap as 9mm, I'd shoot mine every week.
I really like my 21C a ton. I just wish I could find a holster that would allow me to carry it concealed.

I think you made a big mistake! Sorry I couldn't help myself:) . My g21 was my first handgun and I have been very happy with my choice.

I shot 200 rounds yesterday, and my oh my what a sweet gun. It's still amazing to me how a .45 can have such little recoil. I also picked up a couple of +2s for my 13-round magazines. It's tough getting all 15 in there, even with the loading tool. I think next up will be some night sights and a few more of the 13+2 magazines. Well, after a good cleaning anyway.
Also, has anyone tried a G21 with the Mech Tech carbine conversion system? That thing just looks like it would be a ton of fun.

g21 was also my first gun...put on some night sights and you good to go!
Congrats on a good choice. Those mags will probably loosen up a bit if you will just let them sit loaded to capacity -1 for a couple of weeks.
Good shootin'....

Hey, thanks for the advice! I can let the 2 extended mags sit at home while I take my other mags to the range, and then as the springs get relaxed, switch them in and switch out two others.
You are more than welcome. I am just passing on something I learned from another Glocker. By sharing what we know, we do not all have to learn everything the hard way.
Good shootin'....

I love my 21.
Great choice! The G21 is one of the softest shooting .45's I've ever fired. I sold the one I had but I am going to get another one. I swear!

My 21 was my first glock. I love it and have begun to learn about reloading so I can shoot even more often. Other than them not digesting lead very well they are fantastic guns.Enjoy it, mine sleeps in the nightstand beside my bed for when the SHTF
For me the G21 was neither the first handgun, nor the first .45 ACP, but I really am glad to have added it to my small collection. It is really soft shooting and, thanks to Rick at Ameriglo, who got me the right night sights, a very accurate gun. Shooting it without a rest is making it perform as well as my tricked out toy 1911 Colt customs.
I just had to order some more Zero 230gr FMJ for it. My preferred G19 will have to take a backseat - at least for a while and a much needed rest.
