I just picked up a new Kahr PM40, and it is going to be my light carry weapon. I did a forum search on it, but it returned very little.
Are there any folks who have this gun? And if so, any comments, observations, things to look for, short commings, etc?
Thanks much!

I've got a PM40 as well. Actually I bought it online at gunbroker.com for $400 based on the recomendation of a gun dealer. While I'm waiting for my PM to arrive I discovered Glock Talk. I started reading a lot of the posts and it started to scare me a little. Most will say that the PM9 is the better of the two. Polymer frame coupled with the .40 caliber load is too much (from what people say). As well as "it has a lot of recoil" for such a small weapon. IMHO It's all in your personal preferences. I feel comfortable carrying 6 rounds of .40 vs. 7 rounds of 9mm. I myself think the .40 is fun to shoot (I do shoot shoot at least 150 rounds at a time with my PM40) it's like a little cannon. Mine is very accurate as well. I shoot Sigs, Glocks, HK, etc. and for a barrel less than 3" it keeps up with them. All in all I'm glad I got my PM40! I sent the slide assembly to Kahr this week because it had a minor peening problem and while they're fixing that, they're installing new night sights on it for me as well. I bought this gun used, and when I spoke to customer service, they were more than happy to help resolve any issues with the gun. No one asked about my purchase receipt, warranty card, nothing. It was basically "sorry to hear that, I'll give you a return code number send to us and we'll make it right for you". Customer service is outstanding. You picked a fine gun, with a company that'll back it 150%!!! If you don't like it, I know you could sell it to one of us in a heartbeat!!!!! Best of luck.

I had a lot of FTB's when I first got mine. Kahr sent me a new recoil spring assembly and it's been 100% since then. I went from a Glock 27 to the PM40 for the size and am glad I did.
