On a Glock 19 9mm. I have read LOTS of conflicting posts on which is better and why. This one is plastic, that one is so and so, etc, etc.
Bottom line what am I looking for? Adjustable, fixed?
I prefer the green over any color--seems to stand out yet not too bad.
I have seen the following:
1. Trijicon
2. MeproLight
3. Truglo
4. AmeriGlow
Whats the pro's and con's of each one and what have YOU had the best luck with.
Thanks for the help

I would go with fixed sights if it's a CCW. I've tried all the brands that you mentioned. I prefer the Ameriglo Operators because of the thin width of the front sight. And I prefer the green front/yellow rear.

Do you have any trouble seeing the yellow? How bright are they compared to the green?

The green is brighter that the yellows. This is so that your eyes will be focused on the brighter green dot. When focusing on the green dot, the yellows appear to be a dull yellow color.

Really the many choices are because we shooters have different prefeances. I have 3 Glocks I have Metro's on mine, my call and fit my needs. I also have a M6 Laser sighted in for one with Metros. My carry one is Metro.I may switch to another soon it is an everlasting
tasks to find "one " nothing that is made has no options. I would say try all the ones you want out and pick yours good luck.

Here's another vote for Ameriglo.
I went with the Smooth Operators. They were limited edition, not sure if they are still doing them, but if you are interested, you can piece a set together yourself, or give them a call and I'm sure they will help. They're customer service is great.
Anyway, I agree that if it's a CCW, fixed sights are the way to go. The thing I like about these sights are that the front has the white circle (like the glock stock sights, however the rear sight is all black (no white outline). For me, this draws the eye forward to the white in the daytime (front sight, front sight, front sight, squeeze). The difference of the Smooth Operators and the Operators is that the smooth come with their smooth ramp rear sight, and the Operators come with a standard rear night sight.
Nice thing about the smooth rear is it really is a lower profile, and just altogether less "snagproof", which for a CCW is nice.
I prefer all the same color, at night I just couldn't get the feeling of a friend's with both green and orange.
Best thing I can suggest is you just look at the manufacturers you mentioned, and choose the one you like most. All make good sights, and if you ask ten people what they prefer, you will probably get seven or eight differnt answers.
Oh, last thing, for your reference, I have these sights on a G19 as well.

Meps on my g23, green front, yellow rear.
I recently purchased a set of green/green Ameriglo Smooth Operators for my G-19, and I must say that they are now my favorite NS. As others have mentioned the smooth rear sights are ideal for CCW, and I especially like the thin .125 front sight. Another great thing about these sights is that you do not need a rear sight tool to install them, and anyone can easily do it themselves.
I have a set of Mepro's on my G-30 and like them very much, but the Ameriglo smooth operators have an edge on them.
