View Full Version : what is the secret of getting thru to a live voice? cyril 09-27-2005, 17:45 kahr has a hard to use phone tree and of and on i hear some strange noise like french caberet noise fading in and out. it would be nice to get thru to someone..... jmb79 09-27-2005, 18:15 Clarinet noice... have you been taking your medicine? (just kidding) Seriously, last time I needed Kahr customer service the phone tree was not hard to understand. As I recall, if you don't get a live person you a get a request to leave a detailed message with an assurance that someone will call you back within 24 hours. I have always been called back within 24 hours. My experience with small companies is that the person who handles customer service (and it is usually only one person) also has 5 other responsibilities. Thus, this person is not always available immediately when a customer calls. Small companies simply cannot afford to pay someone to sit around doing nothing else but handling customer serivce call. If you don't get a real live person, just leave a message and they will call you back. jazurell 09-30-2005, 19:19 I have called Kahr as a non-customer 3 times. Each time I left a message and the call was returned within a day. Can't ask for much more. Dandapani 09-30-2005, 20:02 Originally posted by jazurell I have called Kahr as a non-customer 3 times. Yes you can ask for more, like speaking to a live person when you call. silky 10-01-2005, 08:04 Originally posted by jmb79 My experience with small companies is that the person who handles customer service (and it is usually only one person) also has 5 other responsibilities. True and sort of true. I suggest that small companies simply cannot afford *not* to make customer service the #1 priority. The other four jobs can wait while they take the call. GirlWithGlock 10-01-2005, 10:06 I had to call Kahr at least 40 times and got Stefan or Dottie every time. Not sure what number you're dialing but the number I dialed was answered by a live person every time. cyril 10-01-2005, 12:02 glock girl....what is the number you referred to when you always get someone (dottie or stephan) answering??? cyril 10-01-2005, 12:05 calls to kel-tec have always been answered when ever i called them.... I was told this a week and a half ago by Brian Truenow (tech support)at Kahr. cyril 10-01-2005, 18:38 too bad stephan is gone, and i wonder why some companies dont try to hold onto good employees....... cjblackmon 10-01-2005, 19:49 Originally posted by cyril too bad stephan is gone, and i wonder why some companies dont try to hold onto good employees....... You never know, he might of had to move, family problems, etc. that might have been out Kahr's control. Then again maybe Glock had a position available. Glock36digger 10-01-2005, 20:13 I spoke to the new tech guy this week and he sounded like a good replacement in that he knew guns, loves to shoot and said he was lucky to work in the gun industry and loves getting up to go to work. When I get my weapon we'll see if he knows his stuff as he tested the gun I got commin' in the mail. To get a live person I just hit 0 when the cust. support message started and told them that I needed to speak to a live body. As far as customer service goes Kahr is pretty damn good compared to the rest of the world. No arguments, no talking down, no lies. They always speak to me and treat me like a person who is paying thier check. Not many places do that these days. BUT the best customer service is the one you never need to use! There goes half of Kahr's customer service staff... GirlWithGlock 10-03-2005, 20:18 Originally posted by cjblackmon GirlWithGlock, I hate to tell you this but Stefan isn't there anymore.
