Help me out folks. I own the G-36 and love it. I also had a Kahr and loved the way it concealed.
I am thinking of selling the G-36 and picking up the K9. I still have a G-21 I love. Not a very concealable weapon.
Please advise.
If you currently own a G36 and "love it", why would you want to get rid of it?
Except under extreme circumstances, I don't think there's a heck of a lot of difference in concealability between the G36 and K9. Sure, the K9's a little smaller/thinner, but where are you realistically going to carry it on your person where that little difference will matter?

You are correct. And the Kahr is a bear to break down and assemble. I think I keeping the 36. Besides, it makes bigger holes.

Not to sound bad but, I've seen two posts lately about the Kahr being hard to break down. Help me out with this. It's only one pin. It's just like taking down a standard 1911. I can tear my K40 down in the time it take to do my Glock 19.

I don't see the problem with breaking the K9 down. It is extremely easy to do, especially once the pin has been removed a few times. I polished the pin on mine and put a very light coat of Tetra lube on it, and it is a snap to remove now.

I noticed that you mentioned being an older gentlemen in another post so with that being said, sorry if I sounded brash or inconsiderate of your circumstances. Arthritis can definately hinder one in trying to takedown almost any gun for that matter.

Now I understand the problem. Sorry. I hope that your arthritis doesn't impact your enjoyment of shooting too much. If you get a K9, be sure to give the pin-polishing and lube trick a try. Just a real light polish with some Flitz or something similar should do the trick, as it did for mine. And I highly recommend the K9. It's a gun which is very fun to shoot, easy to carry, very accurate, and those nice rubber grips may also be of some help when your arthritis is acting up.

Kahr sells a plastic insert to help with take down, have you tried it?
