Ok, I have had some bad luck with 1911s, last couple I had were more trouble then fun.
So after trying a friends Kimber Custom II, I decided my next "out of the box" 1911 would be a Kimber. So I managed to put my hands on a TLE/RL II and I must say that I am pleased. The only thing I do not like are the inside looks of their std. barrel... but to Kimber's defence it shoots good.
I did two mods, I changed the slide release lever for one from Wilson and the plastic MSH to a alloy one from Wilson, rest is stock.

Here here is a "mini" range report. 2x 5 shoot offhand at two
different targets at a distance of 25 meters (27.34 Yds).

For the money it not a bad buy, it's reliable and plenty accurate when I take time to aim.
