I have a G23 that I put an aftermarket 357 Sig barrel in. It shoots well.
However, the brass gets beat up and thrown a LONG way during the ejection cycle. I would like to get a captured spring and guide with a heavier than stock spring. I think this would make it easier on the brass and the gun.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

My first question would be , do you have a second generation G23?....

I suggest a captured or uncaptured SS guide rod w 22 or 24lb ISMI recoil spring; that setup was optimal for me.

I agree. I use a stainless steel captured guide rod with a 22 lb. spring, great setup!

Where did you guys find a captured SS guide rod?? I looked around and couldn't find a captured rod just un-captured.

I shot the gun last week with the new guide rod and it worked fine. Ejection was a little less vigorous, and the brass didn't appear to be as banged up. Looks like a good match.
I put a Stainless Steel Captured Recoil Rod with a 22lb ISMI spring in my G32.
Bought it from Glockmeister and it works well. They have treated me well with this purchase and others.

Same here..22lb IMSI spring on a SS captured guide rod. No problems whatsoever with GoldDot and Ranger T.
