View Full Version : Has anyone gotten a G30 grip reduction?
I'm mulling over whether or not to do one. My main concern is the possibility of weakening the frame.
If anyone has gotten a G30 grip reduction job please post some pics and I'd also like to know where it was done and how much of a difference you feel it made.
Thanks!

but wouldn't recommend a novice doing any modifications. Remember when you do a modification to your G30, your going to have to live with it. It voids the warrenty and reduces price of resell.
You could consider trading to the small frame .45 GAP.
But I'm a .45 ACP fan so i went for it. I love mine now. I just took the finger grooves off. I rounded the trigger guard and took it up to get a better purchase on the peice. Then refinished it.
No frame weakening noticed.

I had my G21 done by Robar a long time ago. Love it.
I'm thinking of them doing my G30. Robar is the place to go.

I had my G21, G30 and G36 grips reduced.....
Let me know of you need a photo of them.
Agreed,Robar is the best at grip reductions. They pioneered it
and it looks very professional.Doesn't weaken frame.
I havn't done it to either of my G30's(gave my old one to my son)but the checkering on the new one seems awfully sharp.
May have the checkering replaced with stipple texture, but NO grip reduction for me. It's a perfect fit as is.
