View Full Version : Did you work KH9 or K7C?
And on how many bands?
I worked K7C on 40cw 20ph 20cw 17cw.
Couldnt work the KH9.
I worked the 7P on 20cw and 15cw this AM, too
Obviously, I didn't work anything, but how about explaining all that in layman's terms? I haven't shot any DX since my CB days back in the 70's. I wish I'd kept my log books for all those.

So, no one works any DX?
I use to work quite a bit on 10M but since the bands are in such a mess not so. Most of my activity is on MARS circuits now. I did hear some DX on 20M the other night. This is a little older but:
73 de WI9NDY
Rich in INDY
The GU is a good contact.
I have 230 worked and 205 confirmed.
I still need some easy stuff like FR, EK, TR.
The bands are still pretty good from time to time. 40m CW is a great place to work anything anywhere in the world regardless of band conditions.
I might add that the 10M log was using a Radio Shack HTX-10 at 25 watts. I had a "fat" dipole at about 15'. I now have an Icom IC718 (100 watts) and a 75' long wire through a tuner. The highlight of my 10M activity was the KH6BB (USS Missouri)Heard her calling CQ one afternoon with a S-1 signal and no one answering.
What is a fat dipole?
I have never heard this term.
How about the XU7? I was lucky enough to work it on 20m ph and cw yesterday.
Did you read the news about KP1 and KP5?
Anyone working toward DXCC or maybe honor roll?
Looking for some conversation.
BTW: A previous post asked about what the prefixes were. Each country has a prefix to identify it. My previous post was about KH9 Wake Is. and K7C Kure Is. The USA is N K W and some A. AP is Pakistan and A5 is Bhutan A7 Qatar etc etc.
