View Full Version : Refurbished PM9
I'm trying to find a PM9 and a dealer about 75 miles away said he has a factory refurbished PM9 for $459.
Anyone have any info on these?
I don't know anything about refurbs, but maybe you can get the serial number and contact Kahr.
I think a new PM9 should be about $500.

Honestly, If some guy is selling it for $459 and you like it...GET IT! I haven't heard of refurbished Kahr's either, but even so, if you had any problems with it whatsoever Kahr WILL take care of it for you so you have nothing to worry about!!!
Then again, It might be "refurbished" in his eyes because maybe Kahr did some work to it and replaced the barrel, springs, slide assembly, etc.
I forgot to ask if it carries the same factory warranty but I'm sure it does. They had a refurb PM9, PM40 and PM40 with night sites.
The new PM9 was $529, refurb $459.
I might call Kahr for more info.

I'd get the used one, you know it's broken in and running right. Yes, Kahr will warrant the gun for you without hassle.

I've heard that factory refurbished Kahrs are marked with a symbol (a "U") near the trigger guard...?

Warmrain is correct about the U. I was looking at a refurbished Kahr just yesterday.
Here is the e-mail response I got from kahr today:
Good Morning! Thank you for your email. The refurbished pistols carry a one year warranty. The pistols are refurbished by us at the factory. The refurbished pistols are ones that have been used. Some examples would be as sales samples, consignment or test and evaluation by police departments, and then returned. Our technicians then go through the entire gun and update or replace any necessary parts, then they are test fired and sold as refurbished. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

Hell, I say buy it anyway!! Kahr has on their website a 5 year warranty on their guns. I got mine used from Gunbroker.com and they've worked on mine without regards to any warranty information or questions as to when and where I bought it.
Check out the Kahr Shop site. If something did go wrong past your 1 year warranty period and they said that they wont fix it free. Check out how much parts cost. They're dirt cheap in my opinion. Me, I think it's a good value and I'd buy it, but that's me...
Good luck with your decision.

I am putting a refurbished P40 Covert in layaway tomorrow for $419.
I spoke with Dottie this evening. She stated that this P40 Covert was born on 12/2/02 and was returned for refund with no problems listed.
My dealer has one refurb and a number of test fires of various polymer models. There is a PM9 with the polished slide, and a PM9 w/DLC and Night sites. Most are under $500 with the exception of PM9 w/DLC and night sites.
