I think of him as the blue collar version of Heminway.Best known to many of you for:"Use Enough Gun","Horn of The Hunter","The Old Man and The Boy","The Boy Grows Older".Which are all still in print.But if you are past 40 I recomend you try to find a copy of"The Honey Badger".Published after his early death from hard living in 1965.INMHO his best work!

read it. it did rock. been ages.. musta been ? late 60s or so ,
you read Uhuru ? I don't even remember the book hardly, Africa, Mau Mau, some spooky stuff back then.. but the title stuck with me. I remember it as a good one..

The last two are must reads!

W.E.B. Griffin .. do it, if you like historical fiction, good stories. they're ALL good, if you like one you're hooked.
