Hello all, need some new sight recommendations. The sights will be mostly for the range but I am not above putting on night sights. I was wondering if you all could tell me what you run and like,(both target and night sight) so I can get a feel of what quality products folks are using. Thanks
Check out the broad selection at www.ameriglo.com
Since I am a rare, non-beleiver of night sights, I choose the black target sights for my Glocks.
Night sights are for carefully aimed shots in low or no light situations. Personal defense does not require slow, carefully aimed shots, but instead split second reaction.
If you enter GSSF in the promotion section you might still receive a 25% discount.
Go with Meps! you will not be disappointed.

I have and really like:
1) Heinie Slant Pro sights (Black serrated, quick target aquisition)
2) AmeriGlo Classic Non Night Sights (A good 3 dot steel sight set)
3) Meprolight Night Sights (For my carry guns, however I will have to admit I feel somewhat like DannyR, as his point about night sights is right on)

From a LE standpoint, I have to disagree with Danny about nightsights. I use Trigicons but am considering Ameriglo Operators on my duty weapon.

Trijicons came on my G19 and G17. I have Meps on the rest of my firearms. I also prefer Meps.
Warren Tactical Series. They have a very clean sight picture.

Just bought some AmeriGlo Smooth Slope night sights - reasonably priced, easily installed, and use Trijicon tritium vials (encased in white PVC sleeves, I think). Their online shop offers 25% off for GSSF members.
AmeriGlo Tritium night sights (http://www.ameriglo.net/store_pages/glock_tritium_sights.html)
AmeriGlo non-Tritium sights (http://www.ameriglo.net/store_pages/glock_non_tritium_sights.html)
Great products, good quality - also available for purchase (slightly cheaper) at Topglock.com (http://topglock.com/catalog/sights.htm)

Are the hienie slant pro's low profile? Has anyone tried the Ameriglo adjustable target sights?

DannyR,
If I may ask, what brand of black sights do you prefer for your Glocks? Do you use different sights for competition versus concealed carry/home defense?
Thank you,

Meps or hienie
Everyone has their favorite Check TruGlo TFO sights at www.truglo.com or many other websites. They are both fiber optic and tritium together.

One set up that has worked well for me using a Meprolight Front with Plain Black Rear. Good for sight aquisition at night and for competition. Another front option is using Dawson Front Lite Pipe sight.
