Im wanting to up grade from the cheesey double plastic uncle mike mag holder. Ive seen a number of people using Safariland products at the range. I like the model 773 Im wondering how they hold up and how much they improve reloading ect from the double holders. Also can someone direct me to a good store to order from. Thanks

Order then form www.brianenos.com
It will take a while but they are about $10 cheaper (have to order $50 worth of Safariland stuff though)

I used the 773's for a while. I think they hold up well & work well, also. I'm not sure how much faster they are than the mike pouches but the big advantage is the ability to cant them so you can pull them with a straight wrist & not have to bend your wrist unnaturally. At the very least, your reloads should become more consistent & probably faster, depending of course on you doing your part. I changed to the cr speed only because I got the holster & mag pouches in a color so they matched. ;Q I'm not certain it was an upgrade, though. The cr speed has a little metric nut that is easy to lose & hard to replace. MLM

WildWest,
You did not state which game these will be used in. They would be ok for USPSA but may not be legal for IDPA.

Not sure myself? I know alot of the guys who run them at these little events Ill have to check.
771's are longer and have better retention than 773's. Sorta depends on how active you are going to be. Don't want to reach for a magazine and find the pouch empty - it's embarrassing to have to scout the area for lost magazines. You can tighten the screws to increase tension on the mag but that makes presentation more difficult.

I decided to go with finger ajustable screws so if the stage requires running I can just tighten them on the fly.
