View Full Version : what holster do you carry your L/S in
i use a C tac slide or a Blade tech to carry
but the C TAC is a lil uncomfortable and the B/t hangs too far for concealment
any ideas on how to hide one?

Though I find IWB holsters a bit uncomfortable with the length and all. I use a Kramer scabbard---it's comfortable and very concealable.

I have not worn it yet but it seems that the same Fobus that I use for my 17 and 26 will also work with my 35. I tried it in my Blackhawk SERPA CQC and it worked fine the barrel just stuck out of the bottom a bit.

I have a Milt Sparks Executive Companion on order for my G34. The MS Exec Comp is my favorite holster for my G17 and G21 so I figured I should stick with what works. I expect the holster and mag carrier to arrive sometime in January.

Dont you think the two offset belt loops on the versa max 2 would be more comfortable, better balance, and offer better concealment?

Actually I've owned two versa max IIs (one for a glock and one for a 1911) and one watch six (the unlined, non-reinforced version of the VM2). I found that the VM2 and Watch Six tended to shift on my belt and wouldn't reliably stay in a fixed 3:00 position. What I like about the Exec Companion is that you can lock it on a belt loop (I wear jeans with a loop precisely on the pant seam a lot) and it will not shift, much like the Summer Special II. However the exta material around the body of the Exec Companion holster makes it much more comfortable than the SSII.
Right now I am wearing a G17 in a Galco Side-Snap Scabbard OWB holster. It has two offset attachments and it does shift slightly on my belt but not nearly as much as when I wear an IWB holster with offset attachments. I guess I wear my belt and my pants a little looser when carrying IWB to keep it comfortable, but I can wear my belt tight when carrying OWB.
I've had a few personal phone conversations with three recognized custom-shop holster makers regarding offset attachments (vm2) versus attachments on the holster body (exec companion). All three told me that they thought that the latter would serve most people just as well if not better than the offset attachments but that the market demands more offset holsters regardless.

G-Code Paddle/Belt in either straight or 15 deg. cant. Also, IWB in MS VersaMax II. It's for a G17, but it works.

My BT IWB, Gould & Goodrich B803L, and the SERPA fit both my G23 and G35. I have the Sky High (http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/_Sky_High/_sky_high.html) holster by High Noon Holsters on order because I want a holster that covers the whole slide of my G35.

As of late I have started carrying my 34 in Milt Sparks 55BN "type" holster. Originally made for a 17, I trimmed the bottom so the 34 would stick through. It is basically a vertical scabbard. It rides tight and draws smooth. Good rig.
Glock 35 in Comp-Tac Gurkha. It's probably my favorite IWB and I have a bunch of different IWB hoslters.
