Anyone use the ACE M4 SOCOM Stock?

I just built a rifle with that stock for my uncle. I like it, it has got to be the most solid stock out there as far as collapsables go. Nice.

I'm building my 1st AR, so I've been toying with getting one. I like the look, and how strong they are. I figure it's around $100 more than a standard M-4 stock, so I might want to do it just how I like ;f

I have one on my AR and it's the best stock that I've ever put on a AR. They make them in a long and short version, I have the short and I'm 6'3 and I leave it on the third notch. I thought so much of it that I have sent 2 of them to my cousins in Iraq and they love them. The company is great to deal with also and offer police/military discounts.

I was puzzeled on the differences. I'm 6'3 & 300+.

Where do you guys/gals recommend to buy from? I know Brownells has them with their discount, how much for the other places?

I am currently debating between the ACE ARFX Skeleton stock in full size or the ACE Socom stock. Anyone here have any experience with both??

I am a big guy and don't like standard collapsable stocks so I was going to go with the ARFX, but after reading a few threads about the Socom, I think it may work for me as well. Anyone?

Do these prices include buffer tube, buffer & recoil spring ?

Those prices do not include the buffer assy and spring. I have Wolff extra power springs for both the CAR and fullsize available. CAR buffer/spring is $22 and A2 buffer/spring is $26. No additional shipping.

Badguy I have both. As for the fixed stock my opinion "THE BEST". As for the socom "EVEN BETTER".

Take a look. It's no better or no worst than my M4 Stock. People just know I paid an extra two hundred for it. I have so much crap for that rifle ( not shown ) I can have a yard sale.

Badguy I'm pretty big guy myself. I really liked the ARFX stock and only bought the socom4 because I wanted a tele but hate the standard M4 style. The socom4 is cheaper and IMHO stronger than a viltor.

IMHO the ACE Socom it's better then the regular M4 stock. All the M4 stocks i've seen have a little side to side play/wobble.... where the Ace Socom it's SOLID, no play what so ever. I really like it....

Xander27z, what light and mount are you using there?

I had an ACE M4 SOCOM and didnt like it. The fit, finish, and build quality was excellent but even with it fully exteneded with a 1" buttpad, it was still too short for me. Its designed to work with body armor so its a little shorter. I ended up getting a Magpul and love it. I wont own another AR without a Magpul.

i'm not too big on hanging stuff on my rifle, actually that was the only time when i put the light on it.
nothing fancy, and it fits on my G22 very well...

Yes, they are a bit shorter. Personally, I like shorter stocks in general, but I can see how you may not like it for that reason.
