Anybody have a entry level working shot timer they would like to see go to a group of active juniors that shoot PPC? Myself and two other juniors shoot the local PPC match at our club. I shoot a S&W 629 in the revolver class. And my other friend shoots his .44 magnum Desert Eagle in the auto class. (we reload and he has placed pretty well since he has started) my other junior friend who shoots with his dad shoots a ruger 9mm of some sort. We get together after junior smallbore on tuesdays and practice starting from a audible "beep" and go from there. We would really like to have a timer to practice with. My friend with the Desert eagle and myself are 19 years old and Shoot alot. So we are serious about this stuff. My best time for 6 targets yet is 2.59 with my revolver and we are working on getting our times down so we can take more of the "adults" our club is serious about junior involvment but the pistol program out there isnt very junior friendly (they dont get a lot of active juniors like myself and Co.) If you have a timer that you can part with for a resonable price please let me know Thank you ~ Ben Wolf

Ben,
You might check with "Friends of the NRA" and see if they can help you purchase a timer. They're a non-profit charity that helps clubs like yours.
Also, your club might charge an entry fee and build up some funds so you can purchase a timer, targets, etc. with club money.
Take care,

Like I said the pistol program at my club isnt geared toward juniors. We already hafta pay a $10 entry fee to shoot an 8 stage 6 shots per stage event. Unlike ALL the other programs at the club i.e. Trap, rifle, smallbore (most of which are free to juniors) we hafta pay the same fee as the adults which in my opinion really blows. Plus its just a small group of juniors that would use the timer, It would be my personal timer that my friends are welcome to use whenever. And as far as the targets go, I just dumpster dive after the shoots and get the used targets out and paste them up, Along with all the unused LEO targets that get left out there, Also I got with my local Harley-davidson dealership and I now have a steady supply of thick cardboard, from the shipping crates for their bikes, The stuff is free And very big and heavy duty.
