View Full Version : Which Sight
I have am model 22 and 27 that I want to replace the sights on.
I know this can be a Ford/Chevy thing but I would like to hear the pros an cons. Tritium, Trijium or Meprolight.? Also, do they require and special tools to install. Thanks, SC_Dave

I have meps on my G21, trij's on my G30 and 24/7 "big dots" on my G-27. I like all three for different reasons and it really boils down to what you like and what works best for you.
Meps - brighter than trijs and big dots, big 3 dot sight system, accurate out to farther shooting distances, stand up a little higher than trijs but not as high as front sight of big dot.
Trijs - less bright than meps (can be a pro or con) but can be seen fine in low light conditions. accurate out to farther shooting distances
Big Dots - Large front sight, quick site acquisition. Can be seen well in low light conditions, very accurate combat sights but not quite as accurate out to further shooting distances.
Take a look at all three and see what YOU like the best.
Hope this helps!

Anytime Dave...Let us know which sights you decide on!
ok i feel dumb for asking this, but how do you install the sights? If i buy mepro/trijicon then i'd buy from glockmeister and just have them install the sights on the slide (free). But what about the big dots? i dont have a sight tool and i dont want to buy one. thanks

The AO 24/7 Big Dot comes with a Delrin punch, small allen wrench and a small tube of Red Loctite.
Make sure to use at least a 16 or 20oz. hammer.
I believe you will need access to a bench vise to secure the slide.
Mine is for a Sig so these tool may or may not be included for a Glock.

Meps. I like Meps over any other sights.
