The FN P-90 in my opinion is THE SMG. anyone here like to discus their feelings on this sub machine gun? 50 rounds of 5.7x28mm love with a built in red bot and room for more good stuff too! Very nice weapon Kudos to FN :) nice job guys.

Actually it is not a built in red dot, but an illuminated reticule (ring sight) using tritium I think.
Good design, very ergonomic and well thought out. But I still don't know how well the 5.7 does on people.....not enough bad guys have been hit by it.

Have not fired it, but held it at the SHOT show. Seemed very awkward and uncomfortable to me.

5.7x28mm is nasty stuff when it hits bad guys it will pierce body armor up to 200 yards especialy the 5.7 teflon rounds and 5.7 hollow point.

Don't know exactly how many OIS there has been with this weapon but I have heard that every shooting has been fatal. I know that one of the larger Departments in my state had these weapons but traded them in for M-4s b/c the ammo was around $400/1000rds and they were also unable to get it b/c FN was the only company making it at the time.

FN is still the only company who makes it but i know they have come out with cheeper 5.7x28 because of the FN Five Seven handgun.
If you are talking about CHEAPER ammo for the 5.7...
It is cheaper but it takes away most of the ooomph behind the round. I bought a few boxes of the ss192 for my 5.7 because at the time there was a big scare that it would be banned along with the pistol. It's gone up in price since then but it's still legal to buy. If the SHTF, it's definitly what I would load, not the cheaper watered down rounds.
Unfortunately, private citizens in the US won't be able to own the full auto version of the P90. And the legal to own version looks rediculous in my opinion.
I was excited to buy one until I saw the civilian version online.
I do wish I could see more data on the deaths/wounding capabilities of the 5.7. Haven't really seen anything on it.
Thanks

Robert Silvers has a video of him shooting a P90 on his site. It was a Jam-O-Matic.
JamOMatic???!?!?!? That's VERY interesting to me. I always thought 5.7's were super reliable. Chalk up another reason why I wouldn't buy one!
I'll look for that link, I do have one.

There's a thread I started a few days before this one on the P90, there is a pic posted as well. :)

Actually they are very reliable (dont know about the legal version) but its just like the M-4's you gotta take good care of it. If you dont clean it enough it will do crap like that but they are reliable weapons in fact the tolerence factor is close to AK's (but not as reliable as one) so i dont know what the deal is with the one in that video.
The Ingram series of SMGs = Best

Ingram weapons are nice and fun to shoot but they do fall short of the advanced modern weapons like the MP-5's and Bizon's or the P-90.
